We would like to thank Superintendent Elfonzo Roberson and Lady Janet Roberson of Miracle Christian Fellowship Center for allowing us to share some healthy education on the importance of being an organ, eye, bone marrow and tissue donor. We were honored to have Barbara Breckenridge , community educator and advocate share her own transplant story, 23 years a donor kidney recipient.

It is with deep sadness that the Niagara Falls (NY) Chapter, The Links, Incorporated shares the loss of our beloved Platinum Link Carrie Mitchell. Link Carrie was inducted into the Chapter in 1970. She was a dedicated member from the moment of her induction, having served on many committees and served in many positions.
She exemplified the tenets of our National Pledge and was an example of true Friendship to the members of this chapter and others. Her words of encouragement that she would always say is:
Give to the World, the best you can, and it will come back to you.
We are celebrating 73 years of Friendship and Service

Black Family Wellness Expo
On March 18th we were proud to host the Black Family Wellness Expo!
At the Harry F. Abate Elementary School,
1625 Lockport Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14305
The Links, Incorporated launched this inaugural event nationwide, this was the first time that Chapter's nation wide worked the same day, coast to coast to address many health disparities and general wellness in a singular, one-day event.
We thank our partners and the community for supporting this nationwide event.
The Black Family Wellness Expo, served to help everyone in the community -- from infants to seniors, all were welcome!
We want everyone to live healthier, happier lives.
The Niagara Falls (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, had the pleasure of spending some time at Carolyn's House, transitional housing for women and children, operated by the WYCA of the Niagara Frontier.
We supplied the family's with Holiday Food Baskets, gift cards, board games and gifts! We furnished arts, crafts and STEM kits to the children and enjoyed the time spent participating in the activities.
We teamed up with Windsong's Breast Care mobile mammography bus, to support our community at the John A Duke Senior Center in Niagara Falls.
We know that annual breast screenings are important for early detection and prevention of health issues, please get screened, it's selfcare for your health.

2021 Caring for Carolyn's House continues...Back to School, Back to Health, we supported our friends at Carolyn's House, with backpacks of essentials to ease back school.: first aid kits, thermometers, hand sanitizer, pocket tissue, adult and children mask, stress balls and a gift cards
2020 Mammogram screenings, we collaborated with ECMC Mobile Mammography Coach and with Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. We thank our host sites John A Duke Senior Center and the Community Health Center in Niagara Falls. Early screening saves lives remember your annual mammogram screenings!
2020 Check presentations given to Feed More WNY and Urban Fruits & Veggies, a donations of $1000 each for their Covid -19 response by the Chapter Presidents W. Lee Whitaker (Niagara Falls) Evelyn L. Kerney Ph.D. (Buffalo) and Andrea Mays (Erie County)
"2020 Caring for Carolyn's House" The YWCA of the Niagara Frontier Carolyn's House a place where women and children in need reside. We we provided Thanksgiving meals to all 19 families.
This year 2020 The Niagara Falls (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has joined the Erie County (NY) Chapter and the Buffalo (NY)Chapter of The Links, Incorporated
for a series of virtual and walking activities, from virtual healthy cooking demonstrations, and safe distancing events like viewing the sunset at Canalside, and strolling beautiful Goat Island in Niagara Falls. We hope that you too will take the opportunity to Walk for Healthy Living.

"Community Link Up 2020" provided our local communities with food distribution of fresh fruits, vegetables, staple items of rice, beans and peanut butter. We also provided voters registration and PPE; mask for adults and children, gloves and hand sanitizer. We served the Lockport community at the Spires Apartments, Niagara Falls community at Wroebel Towers and a distribution location on Higland Avenue.

2019 The Niagara Falls (NY) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated sponsored students from Gaskill Preparatory School in Niagara Falls, to a viewing of Harriet, the students welcomed the eductional opportunity, a good time was had by all!

for partnering together to recognize 63 women from Niagara County. These women were recognized for making contributions in their communities and history in Niagara County, WNY and beyond!
2019 The Niagara Falls (NY) Chapter, The Links, Incorporated , in relationship with the BERNS Cluster joined Colgate to provide care to students in the Lockport and Niagara Falls School districts. Close to 750 students were screened.

Our 2019 Annual Walk-A-Thon took place on September 21st, we walked with "Create A Healthier Niagara Falls Collaborative" in their 3rd Annual Walk The Falls event at Hyde Park, NF. This was a fantastic event, the community was out in numbers.
