A Message from our President Linda L. Billups Donalson – “LINKED TO CREATE CHANGE”

Greetings from the Niagara Falls (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. Thank you for visiting our website. We invite you to browse our website, follow us on social media, and look for opportunities to partner with us in the community.

The hundred and thirty third Psalm says, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”
Gladys Gary Vaughn, our 13th National President said, “From all those who accepted the rare invitation to don the mantle of The Links, Incorporated, much is expected.”

As we embark on this new year in Linkdom, these words must resonate in our 73rd year of service to the Niagara Falls community. None of us here today became Links to be cute, we were already cute before we even joined………………  We became Linked in Friendship because some friend and future sister noticed that the works we were doing as individuals would be better served in the loving embrace of sisterhood. Someone saw our passion and determination to make a difference in the lives of others because someone made a difference in ours.

The Niagara Falls (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, is one of 299 Chapters in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Bahamas, totaling more than 17,000 members. The Links Incorporated, established in 1946, is an international nonprofit organization with committed members enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic security of African Americans and other people of African ancestry.

On May 24th, 1950, the late Alice C. Haynes embodied the principles of our organizations founders because they believed in the vision and the potential of service to others.  We today stand on the shoulders of pioneers who laid a path for us to be able to encourage, inspire, and influence others. The Niagara Falls (NY) Chapter is the 14th chartered in the Eastern Area and the 20th chartered nationwide.

Niagara Falls (NY) Links are dedicated to serving our community by engaging and assisting children, families, and individuals with programs and activities to facilitate engagement and experiences in the arts, health and human services, civic responsibilities, global awareness, and enhanced academic support.

We are honored to share our rich history, with 73 years of service to our Niagara County community, and our current events based on our friendships demonstrating our shared interest and engagement with community service.

The legacy of the Niagara Falls (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is rich. We are proud of our history and current impact and influence in our service to the community. We are an organization built on a foundation of friendship and service, serving the Niagara County area as well as international areas in need.  We take great pride in serving our communities with excellence.

Yours In Friendship and Service,
